A gentle, neurologically based approach that works alongside chiropractic care to help your body release stress patterns and restore balance.
Every day your body responds to physical, chemical, and emotional stress.
Most of the time, your nervous system adapts without you ever thinking about it. You recover from an illness, move past a stressful event, heal after an injury, or adjust to the physical demands of pregnancy, parenting, work, or everyday life.
Sometimes, however, those stress patterns don't fully resolve.
Instead of returning to a balanced state, your nervous system may continue responding as though the stress is still present. Over time, this can influence how you move, how you feel, how well you sleep, and how your body adapts to new challenges.
Bio-Energetic Synchronization Technique (B.E.S.T.) is a gentle, hands-on approach designed to help the nervous system recognize and release these unresolved stress patterns so the body can function more efficiently.
Rather than forcing change, B.E.S.T. works with your body's own neurological responses to encourage better adaptation and improved function.
At InTouch Health, B.E.S.T. is often integrated with chiropractic adjustments, cranial work, movement, and lifestyle recommendations because lasting health is rarely about just one technique.
Every treatment plan is personalized to your individual needs.
Bio-Energetic Synchronization Technique was developed by Dr. M.T. Morter Jr., whose decades of clinical research explored the relationship between the nervous system, stress, and the body's ability to heal.
Dr. Morter served as president of both Logan College of Chiropractic and Parker College of Chiropractic, authored numerous books, and dedicated his career to helping people better understand how the body adapts to stress.
As Dr. Morter's grandson, Dr. Russell Morter grew up immersed in these principles and continues that legacy today as a Master Practitioner of B.E.S.T. Together, Dr. Russell and Dr. Lauren integrate this work into family chiropractic care, helping adults, pregnant women, infants, children, and postpartum mothers throughout Northwest Arkansas.
At InTouch Health, we believe lasting health is built through the choices we make every day. Alongside hands-on care, we help patients strengthen the foundations that support healing:
B.E.S.T. is one part of a larger philosophy of helping the body adapt, recover, and function at its highest potential.
At InTouch Health, we don't believe health comes from one technique alone.
Chiropractic adjustments help restore healthy motion within the spine and joints while improving communication throughout the nervous system.
B.E.S.T. focuses on helping the nervous system recognize and release unresolved stress patterns that may be influencing how your body responds and adapts.
By combining B.E.S.T. with chiropractic adjustments, and other individualized therapies when appropriate, we're able to address multiple aspects of your health at the same time. This comprehensive approach often leads to better, longer-lasting results than relying on any one technique alone.
Depending on your needs, your care may also include:
Rather than following the same protocol for every person, we customize your care based on your examination, goals, and how your body responds over time.
Healing isn't something we do to your body. Healing is something your body is designed to do. Our role is to help remove the barriers that interfere with that process.
Rather than simply chasing symptoms, B.E.S.T. works to help the nervous system recognize and release unresolved stress patterns so the body can return to a more balanced state and function the way it was designed to.
B.E.S.T. isn't designed for one diagnosis or one type of person.
It's designed for people whose nervous systems are working hard to adapt—whether that's from the demands of everyday life, pregnancy, sports, parenting, work, injuries, or unresolved patterns of stress.
Because every person's history and nervous system are different, B.E.S.T. is always individualized. It can be incorporated into care for people of all ages and stages of life.
Many adults seek B.E.S.T. because they feel like something is "off" even if they can't explain exactly why. Some are dealing with recurring pain, chronic stress, fatigue, or tension that never seems to fully resolve. Others simply want to function better, think more clearly, sleep better, and feel more like themselves again.
Pregnancy asks your body to adapt in remarkable ways. Alongside gentle chiropractic care and the Webster Technique, B.E.S.T. can help support nervous system balance as your body prepares for pregnancy, birth, and the transition into motherhood. Many women describe feeling calmer, more centered, and better able to handle the physical and emotional changes of pregnancy.
Birth changes more than your body—it changes your entire life. B.E.S.T. may help your nervous system release stress patterns that contribute to tension, fatigue, or emotional overwhelm, allowing you to recover with greater balance while adjusting to the demands of caring for a new baby.
Even babies experience physical stress during pregnancy and birth. When appropriate, B.E.S.T. may be incorporated alongside gentle chiropractic and cranial care to support a baby's ability to settle, feed, sleep, and adapt during this important stage of development.
Children's nervous systems are constantly adapting as they grow, learn, play, and experience new challenges. B.E.S.T. can be used alongside chiropractic care to help support healthy nervous system function, resilience, and overall well-being during childhood.
Whether you're competing at a high level or simply enjoy staying active, your body performs best when it can adapt efficiently. Athletes often incorporate B.E.S.T. alongside chiropractic care to support recovery, improve focus, and help their bodies respond more effectively to the physical and mental demands of training.
Executives, healthcare providers, teachers, first responders, business owners, and others in demanding careers often spend years operating under constant pressure. Many seek B.E.S.T. not because something is "wrong," but because they want to improve resilience, mental clarity, adaptability, and overall performance while managing the stress of everyday life.
